If you have dabbled in eBay you will have across ‘Powersellers’ who are the backbone of the eBay community. Powersellers are those who move over two thousand dollars in items every single month – but how do they do it? There are plenty of methods to being a Powerseller, but one thing all of them have in common is that they list good items at solid prices. It seems simple enough, but this is something that a lot of eBay sellers forget in the process.

There are two different tactics to find a good product to list, and that is either getting hot and trendy products, or finding a particular niche and sourcing a product to sell to that niche.

For example, you could track down a wholesalesource of the latest hi-tech gadgets – you’ll be quickly turning over stock and bringing in new lines, but there is a market demand for what is trendy and up-to-date. The method of your business here will be very much volume based, you will want to be undercutting your competitors but selling in bulk to generate your profit.

If you find a niche, the wholesale goods you can sell may have a longer shelf life, but with a steady following of loyal customers, your business will roll along nicely. An example of a niche would be craft products, or perhaps wedding goods, all which are readily available from wholesale suppliers at a low cost. The idea of sticking to a niche may seem very limiting at first, however, once you spend a little researching the products and the market, you will be surprised to learn about the various accessories that go along with your original product.

Finding a good wholesaler is the key to Powerseller success. You need to be able to acquire a nice supply of merchandise, no matter what they are, and you need to ensure that you can keep up with the market demand. A good wholesale supplier will have direct ties with manufacturers meaning that the prices remain low and they can provide as many goods as the market demands.
