Normally, writer’s block is a sign that you don’t really have any message. But you might also find, as you write about your subject that your subject is a bit too narrow, or somehow doesn’t bring the complete picture you want to show people. In such cases changing your perspective can open up the subject in a way that makes it far easier to elaborate upon.

Furthermore, you might also find that leaving the article alone for a couple of days can do the trick. Save it on your hard drive, and come back to it a couple of days later.

Have you wondered why this happens? It’s easy. It has to do with the way your mind works. You don’t have to sit focused on thinking about how to fix your article. When you leave it alone and think upon other things, you can suddenly feel inspired, and that is actually your subconsciousness working with the subject for you.

Don’t misunderstand. I’m not saying you should write without thinking. I’m just saying that when you can’t seem to get your message across to your audience, it should flow somewhat freely what you want to say. Correcting spelling and grammar errors comes as you read the entire article once you have finalized your content. But blocking will cause your article to be much more difficult to read, and that should never be your goal.
